Critical Windows of Child Development

Brain science has demonstrated over the years that there are critical windows (sensitive period) in brain development that represent a period when your child’s brain is more responsive to environmental stimulations that allow for optimal development in vision, hearing, speech, social emotional and cognitive functioning. Deprivation or inadequate stimulation at periods when these critical windows open represent lost opportunities that could lead to impairments.
